If you have a passion for sport and exercise, whether as an athlete, coach or even as a spectator, and are keen to pursue a career in sports, then this course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to succeed.

The course explores the science used to help the body perform to its full potential. Our course offers more than most sports science degrees because you learn about science purely in its relationship to exercise and sport. You'll study physiology, biomechanics, and sports psychology but also take a very practical approach to the application of science to sport. You can design your studies to fit your interests by choosing from modules in areas such as sports injuries rehabilitation, physical fitness, and practical coaching.

Telford College runs a one year top-up course for Year 3 of this degree (see Entrance requirements).

You'll learn how to carry out a wide range of procedures and use equipment involved in exercise physiology, biomechanics, sports psychology, injury rehabilitation and coaching.

The applied nature of this course encourages the development of skills that make you more employable, such as written, verbal and visual communication, IT, problem solving, research and team working skills.
