This creative and business focused course gives you an excellent understanding of communication, advertising and public relations principles, as well as the chance to work with real clients on creative briefs through our communications management consultancy. You'll also get the chance to undertake an industry work placement, which gives you valuable work experience and a portfolio of work that you can use to impress potential employers.

We offer the longest running and most successful communication, advertising and public relations course in Scotland. The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM); making us the only dual accredited course in Scotland. We also have excellent links with The British Association of Communicators in Business (CiB). This means that you'll gain an industry recognised qualification as well as a degree. We have a proven track record of high graduate employment within all aspects of the professional communication industries.

Part-time study

The number of modules studied is dependant on the exit that you wish to achieve, for example:

  • A Grad Cert is 60 Credits (3 modules)
  • A Cert HE/Grad Dip/ HND is 120 credits (6 modules)
  • A Dip HE credit is 240 credits (12 modules)
  • A Degree is 360 credits (18 modules)
  • An Honours Degree is 480 credits

Please note that some part-time courses give modular exemptions for previous study and vocational experience. Advice is available during application.

Part-time study (per module)

  • A Postgraduate Certificate is 60 credits (3 modules)
  • A Postgraduate Diploma is 120 credits (6 modules)
  • MBA is 180 credits
